Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 12 drainage improvement project begins Aug. 26

Crews began preliminary project work in early August
Roseville, Minn. – Motorists will encounter slow moving traffic on Hwy 12 in Orono and Long Lake as crews begin a roadway drainage improvement project.

Beginning Aug. 26, motorists on Hwy 12 between Old Crystal Bay Road and Brown Road can expect reduced traffic speeds and roadway shoulder closures between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Crews will be tying drain tiles to catch basins to alleviate roadway flooding issues and to improve roadway mobility and safety.

Weather permitting the project is slated to be complete by early October.
