Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 47 resurfacing project in Anoka County begins Aug. 23

Crews working between Ramsey and St. Francis

ROSEVILLE, Minn.–Motorists traveling on Hwy 47 between Ramsey and St. Francis may encounter off-peak lane closures, flaggers and possible delays as a resurfacing project begins Friday, Aug. 23.

At 6 p.m., traffic will be intermittently reduced to a single lane on Hwy 47 north of Alpine Drive in Ramsey to Pederson Drive in St. Francis.

Flagging operations will be in effect at the work zone as crews resurface and repair the pavement.

Motorists should slow down, be prepared to stop and navigate the work zone with care as crews complete their work.
The project is expected to be complete by early September, weather permitting.

When complete, the project will result in a smoother, safer ride and extend the pavement’s lifespan along 11 miles of busy roadway.
