Gateway State Trail closure begins Tuesday, July 23

Closure needed for continued Cayuga project construction

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – St. Paul area bicyclists and pedestrians will experience a closure as the Gateway State Trail closes at L’Orient Street just west of I-35E early Tuesday, July 23.

Bicyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes. Bicycle maps and other city maps are available on the city of St. Paul’s website. The trail is anticipated to remain closed at this location until late 2015.

The work is part of the I-35E Cayuga improvement project, which aims to reconstruct I-35E between University Avenue and Maryland Avenue, including replacement of the Cayuga Bridge, the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge and the railroad bridges along I-35E.
