Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 10 resurfacing project begins July 22

Construction takes place between Anoka and Coon Rapids

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays on Hwy 10 between Fairoak Avenue and Hanson Boulevard in the Northwest Twin Cities Metro area as crews resurface the roadway.

At 7 p.m. Monday, July 22, crews will begin road work on Hwy 10 between Fairoak Avenue in Anoka and Hanson Boulevard in Coon Rapids.

Motorists will encounter non-rush hour lane and shoulder closures. In addition, traffic will be reduced to a single lane between Fairoak Avenue and Seventh Street in August.

The resurfacing is necessary to extend the usability of the roadway.

The project also will include curb and gutter replacements, drainage improvements, and bridge rehabilitation.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and adjust their schedules in order to avoid delays.

The project will be complete by late-October, weather permitting.

Once the project is complete, motorist can expect a smoother, safer, longer-lasting roadway.
