Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 212 in Eden Prairie will close July 19

The roadway will re-open on July 22

Roseville Minn. – Motorists will encounter a weekend road closure and detour on eastbound Hwy 212 between Hwy 62 and I-494 as crews resurface the roadway.

Beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, July 19, eastbound Hwy 212 between I-494 and Hwy 62 will close. At the same day and time, the Flying Cloud Drive ramp and the Shady Oak Road ramp to eastbound Hwy 212 also will close. The roadway and ramps will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, July 22.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured to eastbound I-494 to northbound Hwy 100 and to Hwy 62.

The project, which may require some temporary, weekday, off-peak lane restrictions, includes removing and resurfacing the roadway. The project will provide a smoother and safer roadway, reduced short-term maintenance costs and improved access along the 2.29 miles of busy roadway.
