Orange barrels on a highway

60-day closure of Hilton Trail at Hwy 36 in East Metro begins July 15

Highway 36 and Hilton Trail project continues

ROSEVILLE, Minn. –  Motorists will encounter delays as both directions of Hilton Trail at Hwy 36 in Pine springs close at 10 p.m. on Monday, July 15.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour of Highway 36 to Lake Elmo Avenue to County Road 12 /75th Street N. then back to Hilton Trail.

The closure is necessary as crews construct a new interchange.

Partial access at the roadway is expected to be restored by mid-September.

When completed in fall 2013, the $13.8 million reconstruction project will improve safety and traffic flow on Highway 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and Demontreville Trail while reducing the amount of through traffic cutting through residential areas.
