Hwy 169 bridges rehabilitation project between Edina and Hopkins begins June 10
Hwy 169 will be reduced to a single lane
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter delays in both directions of Highway 169 between Highway 7 and Highway 62 as crews repair the decks, beams and guardrails on the Nine Mile Creek, Excelsior Boulevard and 2nd Street Bridges.
On Monday, June 10, both directions of Highway 169 between Highway 7 in Hopkins and Highway 62 in Edina will be reduced to a single lane as crews begin repairing the three bridges. All lanes of Highway 169 will re-open by mid to late July, weather permitting.
While the bridges will remain open throughout the project, some of the bridge ramps will be closed. On June 10, the Excelsior Boulevard ramp in Hopkins to southbound Highway 169 will close. Eastbound Excelsior Blvd traffic will be detoured to Blake Road and Highway 7. Westbound motorists will be detoured to Shady Oak Road and to Highway 7.
Beginning mid to late June, the 7th Street W (Interlachen Road) ramp in Edina to southbound Highway 169 and the Bren Road ramp to northbound Highway 169 will close. The Excelsior Blvd ramp to northbound Highway 169 will also close. During the bridge ramp closures, motorists will be detoured to Highway 169 and to Highway 7.
