Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 169/36th Avenue Ramp will close tonight

The ramp is expected to open before the Friday morning rush hours
Roseville, MN – Motorists will encounter a closure of the southbound Hwy 169 ramp to 36th Avenue in New Hope as crews repave Hwy 169.

Beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 20, the southbound Hwy 169 ramp to 36th Avenue will close. The ramp will re-open by 5 a.m., Friday, June 21.

Motorists should use Rockford Road or Medicine Lake Road as alternative exits.

Throughout the past 10 years, extensive repairs to the 7.5 mile stretch of Hwy169 between Hwy 55 and 77th Avenue have prolonged the life of the road. Current cracks in the road, declining pavement ride quality indexes and drainage issues necessitate pavement reconstruction. The $12.2 million project will improve the existing and future mobility of the road and provide a smoother road surface. The project also includes installing new guardrails, and improving bus lanes and pedestrian accessibility.
