Hwy 36 lane restrictions in Maplewood begin June 20

Expect lane closures and delays on Hwy 36 near Keller Lake Bridge

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists on Hwy 36 between Hwy 61 and Edgerton Street in Maplewood will experience lane closures as crews begin construction on the new Keller Lake Bridge.

Starting at 6 a.m. Thursday, June 20, westbound Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane.

At 12 noon Sunday, June 23, eastbound traffic on the same section of road also will be reduced to a single lane.
Motorists will encounter single lane, head-to-head traffic on one side of the roadway while crews work on the opposite side of the road.

Construction is expected to be complete by Sept. 28, weather permitting.

When the bridge is complete, motorists will experience a smoother, safer ride with updated features and better access for the traveling public. More information about the project is available at www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy36maplewood/.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slowdown in workzones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
