ROSEVILLE, Minn. During the work, motorists will find long-term lane closures and ramp and loop closures along the interstate.
I-694 traffic will be a single lane in each direction between East River Road and Hwy 10 in Brooklyn Center beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 16. By early Monday morning, the westbound lanes of the interstate will be shifted to the outside of the roadway and motorists will find two lanes through the area daily between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. The road will be a single lane nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
Eastbound I-694 will be restricted to a single lane between Hwy 100 and East River Road overnight Monday, June 17 and will be shifted to the outside lanes of the roadway before Tuesday morning’s commute. The eastbound lanes also will be restricted to two lanes daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a single lane overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. At the same time, the ramp from East River Road to westbound I-694 will close.
During the week of June 16, westbound lane closures will be expanded between I-35W and Hwy 100 through the end of the project in early November. Traffic restrictions will be the same as above. Ramps/loops between I-35W and Hwy 100 will be closed for up to ten days at a time during this construction season. No two interchanges will be closed in a row so motorist will have access to and from the interstate at the next interchange from the one closed.
