Overnight lane closures on I-494 start tonight
Freeway ramps also closing
Roseville, MN – During the evenings this week, motorists may experience delays as lane closures take place on both directions of I-494 between Hwy 100 and Xerxes and between 12th Avenue and 34th Avenue.
At 10 p.m. May 6 through May 10, both directions of I-494 will be reduced to a single lane between Hwy 100 and Xerxes Avenue. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. daily through May 10, and by 9 a.m. Saturday, May 11.
At 10 p.m. Monday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 8, westbound I-494 between 12th Avenue South and Portland Avenue will be reduced to a single lane. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. the following day.
At 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, and Thursday, May 9 eastbound I-494 between Portland Avenue and 12 Avenue South will be reduced to a single lane. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. the following day.
At 7 p.m. Monday, May 6, the ramp from eastbound I-494 to southbound Hwy 77 will be closed. The ramp will re-open by 6 a.m. the following day.
Additionally, at 7 p.m. Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7, the ramp from 24th Avenue to eastbound I-494 will be closed. All ramps will re-open by 6 a.m. the following days.
At 7 p.m. May 7, eastbound I-494 between 24th Avenue and 34th Avenue will be reduced to two lanes. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 8.
The closures are necessary as crews work in the center lanes and medians, and resurface ramps.
