Closures near Northbound Hwy 65 scheduled May 7

Two local streets to close as Spring Lake Park pedestrian bridge project begins

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays as closures begin to take place on surface streets along Northbound Hwy 65 in Spring Lake Park. 

Access to northbound Hwy 65 from the east at 79th Avenue N.E. and 80th Avenue N.E. will close at 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 7.

The closures are necessary as crews conduct preliminary bridge and sewer work. All businesses will remain open during construction.

Both streets are expected to re-open by August 30.

Suggested alternate detours routes:

From 79th Avenue NEFollow the East Service Road to Osborne Road
From 80th Avenue NE:  Follow Buchanan Street N.E. to 81st Avenue N.E.

The work is part of the Spring Lake Park pedestrian bridge renewal project. The bridge, which spans Hwy 65 at 80th Avenue N.E., will undergo renovation and pedestrian accessibility upgrades.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes, allow extra time for travel and check www.511mn.org for real-time traffic information prior to travel.
