Nightly I-494 lane closures in Bloomington start May 28
Bridge repairs and center median work continues
Roseville, Minn. – During the evenings this week motorists may experience delays on both directions of Interstate 494 between Highway 100 and the Xerxes Avenue Bridge and between 12th Avenue South and Portland Avenue South as crews continue working in the center median and on the shoulder lanes of the freeway.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday May 28, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at 10 p.m. Thursday, May 30 and at 11 p.m. Friday, May 31, both directions of I-494 between Highway 100 and Xerxes Avenue will be reduced to two lanes.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at 11 p.m. Thursday, May 30, and at 11 p.m. Friday, May 31, the roadway will be reduced to a single lane.
All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. daily through Friday, May 31 and by 8 a.m. Saturday, June 1.
In addition, beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, and at 9 p.m. Thursday, May 30, westbound I-494 between 12th Avenue South and Portland Avenue South will be reduced to two lanes as crews paint and repair bridges on the freeway. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. daily through Friday, May 31.
