ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists are reminded that the Highway 52 crossover on the currently under construction Lafayette Bridge spanning the Mississippi River in St. Paul took effect Saturday, April 27.
No vehicles or vehicle combinations of more than 35 feet in length, including charter buses and school buses, are allowed to use the Lafayette Bridge north of Plato Boulevard until the crossover is removed and no longer needed, in early 2014.
Operators of any vehicle in violation of the 35-foot length restriction will be ticketed.
Two lanes of traffic will remain open in both directions for vehicles. Emergency vehicles will be permitted to use the bridge.
