Hwy 100 in Brooklyn Center closing May 18

Bass Lake Road Bridge rehabilitation project continues

Roseville, Minn. – Motorists traveling both directions of Hwy 100 in Brooklyn Center will encounter a delay as a full closure takes place at Bass Lake Road at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 18.

The full closure is needed as crews reconstruct the Bass Lake Road Bridge that spans the freeway.
Hwy 100 motorists will bypass the closed segment by utilizing the Bass Lake Road ramps during the freeway closure.

Both directions of Hwy 100 will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, May 20.

The Bass Lake Road Bridge spanning Hwy 100 closed on Monday, April 29. The bridge will re-open by mid-August. The ramps from Hwy 100 to Bass Lake Road and from Bass Lake Road to Hwy 100 will remain open during construction. Bass Lake Road motorists are advised to follow the posted detours.

In addition to rehabilitating the Bass Lake Road Bridge, crews also will construct a wider pedestrian and a bicycle path on the south side of the bridge and install new guardrails and medians.
