Orange barrels on a highway

L’Orient Street closure begins May 13

Roadway will remain closed for several days

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – St. Paul area motorists and pedestrians may experience delays as L’Orient Street closes between Granite Street and Genesee Street in the early morning on Monday, May 13.

Posted detours will direct motorists and pedestrians to use Granite Street, Buffalo Street and Genesee Street to bypass the closure.

The closure is needed for continued water main installation work as part of the I-35E Cayuga improvement project. The roadway is anticipated to remain closed for several days. Updates will be made when the roadway reopens.

The I-35E Cayuga improvement project aims to reconstruct I-35E between University Avenue and Maryland Avenue, including replacement of the Cayuga Bridge, the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge and the railroad bridges along I-35E.
