Orange barrels on a highway

Overnight lane closures on I-494 start Friday, April 26

Long-term ramp closures also begin

Roseville, MN – On evenings this weekend, motorists may experience delays on both directions of Interstate 494 between Highway 100 and Penn avenues as crews begin phase two of the
I-494 improvement project.

Both directions on I-494 will be reduced to a single lane at 10 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 27, and 28. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. on the following day.

Additionally, the southbound and northbound ramps from France Avenue to eastbound I-494 will be closed for approximately six to eight weeks. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours during the ramp closures.

These closures are necessary as crews restripe lanes and set concrete barriers to allow for median drainage work.
