Hwy 100 closing May 3

Bass Lake Road Bridge rehabilitation project will begin Monday, April 29

(Roseville, Minn.) – Hwy 100 motorists in Brooklyn Center will encounter a delay as a full closure of both directions of Highway 100 and Bass Lake Road takes place at 10 p.m. Friday, May 3.

The full closure is needed as crews remove the deck of the Bass Lake Road Bridge that spans the freeway.

Highway 100 will bypass the closed segment by utilizing the Bass Lake Road ramps during the freeway closure.
Both directions of Highway 100 will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, May 6.

The Bass Lake Road Bridge at Highway 100 will close at 9 a.m. Monday, April 29 and re-open by mid-August. The ramps from Highway 100 to Bass Lake Road and from Bass Lake Road to Highway 100 will remain open during construction. Bass Lake Road motorists are advised to follow the posted detours.

In addition to rehabilitating the Bass Lake Road Bridge, crews also will construct a wider pedestrian and a bicycle path on the south side of the bridge and install new guardrails and medians.
