Overnight lane closures scheduled for Hwy 36
Eastbound and westbound reducing to single lane

ROSEVILLE, Minn.--Motorists will experience lane closures on both directions of Hwy 36 between Hwy 61 and Hazelwood Street in Maplewood on Wednesday, March 13.

Eastbound Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane at 10 p.m. as crews place barriers at the southeast and southwest corners of Hwy 36 and English Street.

Westbound Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane when crews finish placing barrier near eastbound Hwy 36.  Barrier will then be placed at the northeast corner of Hwy 36/English Street.

All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. March 14.

The right turn lane from eastbound Hwy 36 to southbound English Street will permanently close Wednesday, March 13.  Traffic will be detoured via Atlantic Street, Cope Avenue, and English Street.

The lane closures are a part of the Hwy 36/English Street improvement project that will include the replacement of the Hwy 36/English Street signalized intersection with a diamond interchange. The project will improve safety and traffic flow along the Hwy 36 corridor in Maplewood.
