Hwy 65 traffic management upgrades project begins Sept. 10

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience minor delays on both directions of Hwy 65/Central Avenue between 40th Avenue NE and Interstate 694 in Columbia Heights and Fridley as a project to install new fiber optic cable and traffic management cameras, and make traffic signal upgrades, begins Monday, Sept. 10.

Temporary, non-rush hour shoulder, lane closures and sidewalk closures may occur throughout the project as needed.

The project consists of installing new fiber optic cable, cameras, and traffic signal controller cabinets along the corridor for improved signal timing and overall traffic management in the area. The entire project is expected to be completed by early December 2012.
