Annual inspection set for Lafayette Bridge
Day-long closure scheduled for southbound
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists should expect delays on Saturday, Sept. 22 while the Minnesota Department of Transportation performs an annual in-depth inspection of the southbound Hwy 52 Lafayette bridge spanning the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
Inspectors will begin their in-depth look at the southbound bridge at 7:30 a.m. and will continue until completed 8 p.m. that day.
Southbound Hwy 52 will be closed between West 7th Street and Hwy 156 (Concord Street) and traffic detoured.
Motorists should follow the posted detours during the closures:
Southbound bridge closure: Follow southbound Hwy 61 to westbound I-494 to northbound Hwy 156 (Concord Street).
