Southbound Hwy 77 reduced to a single lane Sept. 17
Crews to conduct pavement repair
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will be reduced to a single lane southbound Hwy 77 this afternoon between The Minnesota River Bridge and 138th Street as crews correct unexpected problems with one of the southbound lanes.
The road is expected to be open to two lanes by 4 p.m.
Overnight, southbound Hwy 77 will be reduced to a single lane as crews continue to work on the traffic switch.
The lanes should reopen to two lanes prior to tomorrow evening’s rush hour.
In addition, northbound Hwy 77 will be reduced to a single lane south of I-35E from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and north of I-35E from 10 a.m. until 5 a.m. the following day.
The work is part of the five-mile long Hwy 77 Better Roads project http://www.dot.state.mn.us/betterroads/. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride and improved drainage and guardrail in the area.
