Resurfacing starts on southbound Hwy 77 Sept. 17
Northbound work nearly completed

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter lane closures as work begins on southbound Hwy 77 between Diffley Road and 138th Street beginning Monday, Sept. 17.

Northbound Hwy 77 work is scheduled to be complete by Sept. 25.

The right lane of southbound Hwy 77 will close at 5 a.m. Sept. 17 between Diffley Road and 138th Street as crews remove old pavement markings.

Beginning Sept. 18 two lanes of traffic will be in place, with one of them being the right shoulder. The lane closures are necessary as crews continue concrete repair on southbound.

During non-rush hours southbound Hwy 77 may be reduced to a single lane as interim striping and concrete repairs progress.
The entire project is scheduled to wrap up by Oct. 11.

In addition, northbound Hwy 77 will be reduced to a single lane south of I-35E from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and north of I-35E from 10 a.m. until 5 a.m. the following day.

The work is part of the five-mile long Hwy 77 Better Roads project  When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride and improved drainage and guardrail in the area.
