Hwy 12 overnight closures occur Sept. 4-7

Resurfacing project continues

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will experience delays and detours on both directions of Highway 12 between Hennepin County Road 90 and Hennepin County Road 6 in Maple Plain  as overnight full closures for resurfacing occur Sept. 4-7.

The closures will begin daily at 7 p.m., and reopen by 5:30 a.m. the next day. Motorists will be directed to use Hennepin County Road 90 and Hennepin County Road 6 to bypass the closures. Access for local residents and businesses in Maple Plain will be maintained.

Crews will finish resurfacing work in the project area. Area residents should be aware of additional overnight noise in the area during this work. The work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather.

No further overnight closures are anticipated after this work is completed. The entire project is anticipated to be completed the week of Sept. 10.

The Highway 12 Better Roads resurfacing project includes resurfacing Highway 12 to preserve the lifespan of the roadway and create a smoother ride for motorists, adding left turn lanes west of County Road 83/Halgren Road to enhance safety, and reconstructing the intersection of Highway 12/Oak Street to enhance motorist safety and upgrade accessibility for pedestrians. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-September.
