Northbound Hwy 169 daytime lane closure occurs Aug. 31
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists in Bloomington will experience delays as a lane closure on northbound Highway 169 between Anderson Lakes Parkway and Interstate 494 begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug 31.
The lane will reopen by noon the same day.
Part of the Highway 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews repair a guardrail alongside the freeway.
No lane closures at the interchange will occur over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
The Highway 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
