Ramp closure at Hwy 169/I-494 occurs Aug. 15
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on northbound Hwy 169 in Bloomington and Edina when the loop ramp to westbound I-494 closes at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15.
During the closure, access from Hwy 169 to westbound I-494 will be available via Hwy 212.
The loop ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closures are necessary as crews pour the bridge deck for the ramp from westbound I-494 to northbound Hwy 169.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
