Hwy 5 Victoria project continues
Right turn lanes will close at Hwy 41
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists in Chanhassen will encounter right turn lane closures at Highway 5 and Highway 41 beginning Friday, July 20.
Beginning at 9 a.m. the right turn lanes from south Highway 41 to west Highway 5 will close. In addition the right turn lane will also close from east Highway 5 to south Highway 41. A detour will direct motorists to use County Road 17/Powers Boulevard and County Road 18/Lyman Boulevard to access both Highway 41 and Highway 5.
The closure is expected to last approximately 2 weeks.
The work is part of a larger project to improve Hwy 5 between Victoria and Chanhassen. All residences and businesses will remain accessible during the project.
When complete, the project will resurface and widen shoulders on four miles of busy highway, improve bike and pedestrian facilities, increase roadway efficiency by adding turn lanes at busy intersections, improve drainage and result in a smoother ride.
