Westbound I-94 reduced to a single lane tonight in Minneapolis
3rd Street ramp project continues
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Minneapolis motorists will experience delays as lane closures on westbound I-94 between the Lowry Tunnel and NE Lowry Avenue in Minneapolis occur overnight tonight, June 4.
Westbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes beginning at 10 p.m., and reduced to one lane at midnight. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 5.
The lane closures are needed for crews to conduct loop work at the entrance ramp from 3rd Street as part of the overall 3rd Street ramp rehabilitation project. Final clean up of the project will occur after this work, and no further restrictions are anticipated.
The 3rd Street ramp project will rehabilitate the shoulder on the ramp, allowing for continued transit availability and providing a smoother ride.
