Northbound Hwy 52 closing overnight July 2
Concrete paving for the Lafayette Bridge project continues
(ROSEVILLE, Minn.)-Motorists will experience delays and a detour on northbound Hwy 52 between Concord Street and I-94 in St. Paul as the roadway closes overnight Monday, July 2.
Northbound Hwy 52 will close at 10 p.m. July 2. A signed detour will direct traffic to use Concord Street and Robert Street in order to bypass the closure.
The closure is needed as crews complete concrete paving on ramps and reconstruct a median south of Concord Street as part of the Lafayette Bridge project. Northbound Hwy 52 will reopen to a single lane by 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 3.
When completed late 2014 – early 2015 the new Lafayette Bridge will provide two through-lanes and an auxiliary lane in each direction for entering and exiting traffic. The project also includes the modification and realignment of the Hwy 52 Bridges spanning I-94. A pedestrian and bicycle lane on the northbound bridge is included in the plan.
