Hwy 13 in Savage weekend closure begins June 29
Interchange construction continues

(ROSEVILLE, Minn.)-  Motorists will encounter delays and a detour as both directions of Hwy 13 close between 126th Street and Hwy 10 in Savage on June 29.

A signed detour will direct motorists to Hwy 13/101 to County Road 21, County Road 19, and County Road 42 to bypass the closure.  Access to local businesses will be maintained for the duration of the closure.  The road is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday July 2.

In addition, eastbound and westbound Hwy 101 will be reduced to a single lane between west of Zinran Avenue and east of Louisiana Avenue.  All lanes are expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday July 2.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, July 2, the left lane of both directions of Hwy 13 beneath the Hwy 101 Bridge will close as crews complete median barrier work.  Lane reductions also will occur on northbound Hwy 101 to complete work on ponds.  The work will be complete each day by 3 p.m. July 2-6.

This work is part of the larger project to create an interchange at Hwy 13 and 101 in Savage.

When complete, the new interchange will improve safety and mobility by eliminating an at-grade stoplight for east-west traffic while maintaining access to local businesses through safer connections to the local frontage road system. The project is scheduled to be complete later this summer.
