Traffic change at West 78th Street roundabout (north of Interstate 494) begins June 25
ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter a traffic change at the roundabout on West 78th Street (near Abbott Northwestern Clinic – 8100 W. 78th Street) beginning Monday morning, June 25.
At that time, the west side of the roundabout will temporarily close and both northbound and southbound traffic will be rerouted to travel through the east side of the roundabout. The roundabout will remain partially closed through Friday, June 29.
Both directions of W. 78th Street will remain open during this time, and motorists will be able to travel from Valley View Road though to West Bush Lake Road.
Part of the Highway 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews begin set bridge beams above the roundabout for the new bridge from westbound Interstate 494 to northbound Highway 169.
