Final single lane closure for southbound Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills begins Friday, June 22
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Southbound Lexington Avenue will be restricted to a single lane over
I-694 in Arden Hills for approximately eight days, beginning before morning rush hour on Friday, June 22. The lane restriction will allow construction crews to finish grading along southbound Lexington Avenue, replace bridge expansion joints and paint the rail on the west side of the bridge.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the lane closure to avoid congestion and delays. Weather permitting, work on the Lexington Avenue Bridge will be completed and traffic will be restored to two lanes in each direction of the bridge by
Friday, June 29.
The Lexington Avenue bridge project, which began in early May, will add dual left turn lanes and an improved bicycle/pedestrian crossing over I-694. Work includes upgrades to the signal system and the ramps to and from the freeway. The project will be completed by mid-July. Access to the pedestrian/bicycle lane will be maintained during construction.
