Overnight ramp closures occur at Hwy 169/I-494
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter nightly ramp closures on both northbound Hwy 169 and westbound I- 494 in Bloomington and Edina beginning June 18-20.
The loop ramp from northbound Hwy 169 to westbound I-494, and the ramp from westbound I-494 to northbound Hwy 169, will close nightly for bridge beam placement over the roadway. The ramps will close at 7 p.m. June 18, and at 10 p.m. June 19 and June 20.
Both ramps will reopen at 5 a.m. each day following the closures.
During all closures, access to both northbound Hwy 169 and to westbound I-494 will be available via Hwy 212.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
