Overnight closures tonight for I-694, Lexington Avenue in Arden Hills

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Both directions of I-694 beneath the Lexington Avenue Bridge will close from 10 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. tomorrow as crews pour the new bridge deck on the east side of the Lexington Avenue Bridge.

During the closure, interstate traffic will detour up and down the ramps at the I-694 and Lexington Avenue interchange.

Lexington Avenue will close at Gramsie Road to the north and at Red Fox Road to the south. The suggested detour to access westbound I-694 is County Road F or County Road E to Victoria Street to eastbound I-694 and then Rice Street to westbound I-694. Or follow the detour signs west on County Road E to northbound Old Hwy 10 to westbound County Road E2 to reach I-35W to access westbound I-694.

To reach eastbound I-694, traffic should detour east on County Road E or County Road F to Victoria Street.

The Lexington Avenue bridge project, which began in early May, will add dual left turn lanes and an improved bicycle/pedestrian crossing over I-694. Work includes upgrades to the signal system and the ramps to and from the freeway. The project will be completed by mid-July. Access to the pedestrian/bicycle lane will be maintained during construction.
