Overnight lane and ramp closures on I-35W occur tonight
Central Corridor Light Rail Project continues
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in Minneapolis may experience delays tonight, May 4 on southbound I-35W as lane and ramp closures between University Avenue and Hwy 55/Hiawatha Avenue begin at 7 p.m.
At 7 p.m. the right lane of southbound I-35W will close. At 11 p.m. an additional lane will close, as well as the ramp from southbound I-35W to Hwy 55/Hiawatha Avenue.
During the ramp closure, motorists are advised to follow posted detours. The lanes and ramp will reopen by 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5.
These lane closures are necessary as crews work on a new bridge spanning I-35W as part of the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit (CCLRT) project.
