Closures ahead for Hwy 10, I-35W in Mounds View and Arden Hills
Ramps to close for bridge reconstruction

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As construction begins on the new Hwy 10/County Road 10 bridges spanning I-35W in Mounds View, several ramps between I-35W and Hwy 10 and all of eastbound Hwy 10 between I-35W and I-694 will close at 12:01 a.m. Monday, June 4.

The following ramps will close June 4:

At the same time, Hwy 10 will close from I-35W to Ramsey County Road 96. Hwy 10 already is closed from County Road 96 to eastbound I-694. However County Road 96 will remain open.

The ramps, along with eastbound Hwy 10, will remain closed through late October 2012. Access to businesses and homes along the closed Hwy will be maintained from Ramsey County Road 96 and westbound Hwy 10. Westbound Hwy 10 will remain open between I-694 and I-35W.

Demolition of the Hwy 10/County Road 10 bridges will require a full closure of I-35W between I-694 and the north junction of Hwy 10/I-35W from 10 p.m. Friday, June 8 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 11. During the closure, crews also will replace a storm sewer culvert running beneath I-35W just north of I-694. The posted detour will direct motorists on I-694, Hwy 252 and Hwy 10.

During the weekend closure, travel will remain available from westbound Hwy 10 to northbound I-35W and from Ramsey County Road 10 to southbound I-35W, although the southbound interstate will be closed at I-694. (See attached map)
Major reconstruction at the interchange of Interstate 694 and Hwy 10 at Snelling Avenue and Hamline Avenue in Arden Hills began last fall. The two-year project includes reconstruction of the surrounding roadways between I-35W and Victoria Street along with the Hwy 10 bridges at I-35W and the Island Lake bridges east of the interchange between Lexington Avenue and Victoria Street.

In addition to rebuilding the surrounding highways, the project will rebuild bridges in the corridor and will improve safety and mobility.
