Closures ahead for Hwy 52 in St. Paul
Southbound reduced to single lane this weekend
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays this weekend as lane and surface street closures take place on Hwy 52 in St. Paul.
Southbound Hwy 52 will be reduced to a single lane at 9 p.m. Friday, June 1 as crews paint the right lane and outside shoulder area of the Lewis Street Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge. Southbound Hwy 52 will reopen to two lanes by 5 a.m. Monday, June 4.
Southbound Hwy 52 will again be reduced to a single lane at 9 p.m. Friday, June 8 as crews paint the left lane and inside shoulder area of Lewis Street Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge. Southbound Hwy 52 will reopen to two lanes by 5 a.m. Monday, June 11.
In addition, eastbound Concord Street beneath Hwy 52 will close at 5 a.m. Monday, June 4 as crews paint the south half of the Concord Street Bridge. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour. Eastbound Concord Street will reopen by 9 p.m. Friday, June 8.
When completed late 2014 – early 2015 the new Lafayette Bridge will provide two through-lanes and an auxiliary lane in each direction for entering and exiting traffic. The project also includes the modification and realignment of the Hwy 52 Bridges spanning I-94. A pedestrian and bicycle lane on the northbound bridge is included in the plan.
