Weekend ramp closure scheduled for I-494/Hwy 169
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on northbound Hwy 169 when the ramp to eastbound I-494 closes at 6 a.m. Saturday, June 2.
During the closure, motorists should follow the posted detour route:
Northbound Hwy 169 to eastbound Hwy 62 to southbound Hwy 100 to eastbound I-494
The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, June 4, but may reopen sooner if work in the area is completed. Motorists can call or visit www.511mn.org for updated information.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 Interchange Reconstruction project, the closures are necessary as crews install a storm sewer under the roadway.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
