I-94/25th Avenue S. ramp closure begins May 7
Ramp scheduled to close for seven days

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays and a detour as the ramp from 25th Avenue S./Riverside Avenue to westbound I-94 in Minneapolis closes at 5 a.m. Monday, May 7.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured to southbound 25th Avenue S., westbound Franklin Avenue, southbound Cedar Avenue and westbound Hwy 55/Hiawatha Avenue to access westbound I-94. The ramp will reopen by the morning of Monday, May 14.

The ramp closure is needed for concrete rehabilitation work as part of the I-94 improvement project.

The I-94 improvement project between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul includes Smart Lane technology to improve safety and congestion. The project also includes resurfacing, which will create a smoother ride for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway, drainage improvements, bridge maintenance work, reconstruction of the shoulders, and realignment of the lanes.
