Hwy 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) closing overnight May 30
Crews to adjust cable stays on Sabo Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge
(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists will encounter delays and a detour in Minneapolis as Hwy 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) closes between East 26th Street and East 28th Street at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.
A signed detour will direct motorists to East 28th Street, Cedar Avenue and East 26th Street during the closure.
The roadway is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday, May 31.
The closure is needed as crews adjust the tension on the bridge’s cable stays.
