Ramp closure scheduled from Victoria Street to westbound I-694 in Shoreview
Ramp to close for bridge reconstruction
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – As reconstruction continues on the new I-694 bridge at Island Lake in Shoreview, the ramp from Victoria Street to westbound Interstate 694 will close at 10 p.m. Monday, June 4, weather permitting. The closure is needed as crews reconstruct the westbound lanes of the new I-694 bridge over the Island Lake Channel.
The ramp will remain closed through August 2012.
Motorists should follow the posted detour on Ramsey County Road F on the north, or Ramsey County Road E on the south to Lexington Avenue to reach westbound I-694.
Major reconstruction at the interchange of Interstate 694 and Hwy 10 at Snelling Avenue and Hamline Avenue in Arden Hills began last fall. The two-year project includes reconstruction of the surrounding roadways between I-35W and Victoria Street along with the Island Lake bridges east of the interchange between Lexington Avenue and Victoria Street.
In addition to rebuilding the surrounding highways, the project will rebuild bridges in the corridor and will improve safety and mobility.
