I-35E to reopen to two lanes by 9 p.m. today
Southbound lanes to remain reduced to one lane through early June

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Both lanes of northbound I-35E between County Road 96 in White Bear Lake and the I-35/I-35E/I-35W junction in Columbus will reopen to two lanes by 9 p.m. today.

Southbound I-35E will remain reduced to a single lane between the two points through early June as crews remove traffic control and apply permanent pavement markings. More information about the southbound lane reopening may be made available by May 29.

This nearly completed project reconstructed I-35E between Columbus and White Bear Lake and extend the life of the pavement by removing the existing blacktop and replacing it with a new concrete overlay, which also improved ride quality. The project also replaced the box culvert carrying Clearwater Creek beneath I-35E.
