Overnight ramp closures cancelled for Hwy 52 May 23-24
Forecasted inclement weather postpones Wednesday, Thursday night work
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Rain and thunderstorms in the near-term forecast have caused the postponement of the Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday May 24 ramp closures at northbound Hwy 52 to westbound I-94 and East 7th Street to westbound I- 94.
Weather permitting, the ramp closures have been rescheduled for Tuesday May 29 and Wednesday, May 30 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
These will be needed as crews continue to build west half of the new loop from northbound 52 to I-94.
When completed late 2014 – early 2015 the new Lafayette Bridge will provide two through-lanes and an auxiliary lane in each direction for entering and exiting traffic. The project also includes the modification and realignment of the Hwy 52 Bridges spanning I-94. A pedestrian and bicycle lane on the northbound bridge is included in the plan.
