More I-35E ramps reopened, closed this week
Concrete resurfacing nears completion in northern Twin Cities Metro
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – I-35E motorists may experience delays with the week-long closure of the ramp from northbound I-35E to Ramsey County Road J in White Bear Township that began early this morning. The ramp is expected to reopen to traffic by Monday, May 21.
However traffic restrictions also were lifted before morning rush hour this morning when the ramps from northbound I-35E to eastbound and westbound County Road 14 and the ramp from County Road 14 to northbound I-35E reopened Monday evening.
The ramp closures are necessary as crews resurface I-35E between Ramsey County Road 96 in White Bear Lake and the north junction of I-35E/I-35W in Columbus. The project is replacing the existing blacktop surface on the northbound lanes with a new nine-inch concrete surface for a smoother ride and longer pavement life. Resurfacing of the southbound lanes was completed last year.
