Hwy 13 detour near Hwy 55 in Mendota Heights begins May 14
ROSEVILLE, Minn. —Motorists will encounter a detour and possible delays on northbound Highway 13 as the road is closed between Lemay Lake Road, near the Highway 13/55 overpass, and Sibley Memorial Highway at 7 a.m. Monday, May 14.
All lanes of northbound Highway 13 will reopen by 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.
Southbound Highway 13 will be closed between Lemay Lake Road and Sibley Memorial Highway at 7 a.m. Thursday, May 17. All lanes of southbound Highway 13 will reopen by 7 p.m. Saturday, May 19.
During both closures a signed detour will direct traffic along Sibley Memorial Highway.
The closures are needed as crews resurface the road as part of the 12-mile long Highway 13 Better Roads project. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage and upgraded pedestrian crossings and signals that meet modern accessibility standards.
