Hwy 13 detour near Hwy 55 in Mendota Heights begins May 19

(Roseville, Minn.) – Motorists will encounter a detour and possible delays on northbound Hwy 13 as the road is reduced to a single lane between Lemay Lake Road, near the Hwy 13/55 overpass, and Sibley Memorial Hwy at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 19.

All lanes of northbound Hwy 13 will reopen by 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 22.

Southbound Hwy 13 will be reduced to a single lane along the same segment of roadway at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 22. All lanes of southbound Hwy 13 will reopen by 9 a.m. Friday, May 25.

During both lane closures a signed detour will direct traffic along Sibley Memorial Hwy.

The closures are needed as crews resurface the road as part of the 12-mile-long Hwy 13 Better Roads project.

When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage, upgraded pedestrian crossings and signals that meet modern accessibility standards.
