Southbound Hwy 169 daytime lane closure occurs April 6
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in Edina and Bloomington will encounter a lane closure on southbound Hwy 169 between Interstate 494 and Anderson Lakes Parkway beginning at 5 a.m. Friday, April 6.
The lane will reopen by 9 a.m. the same day.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project, the closure is necessary as crews remove barrier and pave a temporary bypass in preparation for an upcoming traffic switch.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
