Daytime Hwy 169 lane closures occur April 4
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists in Edina and Bloomington will encounter lane closures in both directions of Hwy 169 between Valley View Road and Interstate 494 beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 4.
All lanes of Hwy 169 will reopen by 1 p.m. the same day.
Part of the Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project, the closures are necessary as crews move equipment across the freeway and prepare the roadway for an upcoming traffic switch.
The Hwy 169/I-494 interchange reconstruction project includes turning the current expressway into a freeway by rebuilding the interchange with six ramps instead of eight. The performance-based design removes traffic signals, reduces congestion and improves safety.
