Hwy 52 lane closures start April 25
Re-decking of Plato, Eaton, Concord Bridges continues
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – St. Paul motorists will experience delays beginning late on Wednesday, April 25 as northbound Hwy 52 is reduced to a single lane between Concord Boulevard and the Lafayette Bridge.
Southbound Hwy 52 will carry two lanes of traffic.
The closures are needed as crews continue bridge deck rehabilitation at Concord Street, Eaton Street and Plato Boulevard.
In addition, the ramps from Concord Street and Eaton Street to southbound Hwy 52 will close. However, the ramp from Plato Boulevard to southbound Hwy 52 will remain open as will the ramp from southbound Hwy 52 to Plato Boulevard.
The lanes and ramps are scheduled to reopen by Friday, July 6.
When completed late 2014 – early 2015 the new Lafayette Bridge will provide two through-lanes and an auxiliary lane in each direction for entering and exiting traffic. The project also includes the modification and realignment of the Hwy 52 Bridges spanning I-94. A pedestrian and bicycle lane on the northbound bridge is included in the plan.
