Westbound lane closure on I-94 shifts tonight, April 24
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays as the right lane closure of westbound I-94 shifts west in Minneapolis overnight Tuesday, April 24.
The lane closure between Hwy 280 and Huron Boulevard will be shifted and will close approximately between Huron Boulevard and Cedar Avenue. The shift will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is needed for crews to complete shoulder and pipe work through the corridor as part of the I-94 improvement project. The lane restriction will remain in place until approximately mid-June.
The I-94 improvement project between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul features Smart Lane technology to improve safety and congestion. The project also includes resurfacing, which will create a smoother ride for motorists and extend the lifespan of the roadway, drainage improvements, bridge maintenance work, reconstruction of the shoulders, and realignment of the lanes.
